About Split Rock Tap & Wheel
Split Rock Tap & Wheel is a concept that makes perfect sense in Marin: a tap room and bike shop under one roof. Located in Fairfax, Split Rock lets you drop your bike off for service, enjoy a craft beer while you wait, and maybe pick up some new cycling accessories in between pints.
The tap list rotates regularly and features an excellent selection of local and regional craft beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and cyclist-friendly - showing up in lycra and cycling shoes is the norm, not the exception. The bike shop side handles repairs and sells accessories, though it's more focused on the social aspects of cycling than the high-end service you'd get at a dedicated shop.
As a post-ride destination, Split Rock is hard to beat. After finishing the Roasters loop or the Alpine Dam Sisters, rolling into Split Rock for a beer with your riding crew is one of Marin cycling's great pleasures.
